Trading Analyst - Biofuels

ASSIGNMENT

The role, under supervision of senior members of the team, will be responsible for contributing to the development and execution of the trading strategy of (on the secondary and primary market) considering current and future requirements of the company.

MAIN JOB FUNCTION

As an integrated member of Biofuels Trading team, the primary responsibility of the job holder will be assisting with the following: - Support to traders; - Management Reporting, researches and calculations; - Work on any "ad hoc" requests assigned by the team /line manager. PRINCIPAL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support traders in the following activities:

• Analysis of client and market data in order to help developing and executing trades.
• Data entry for each Cargo purchase and sales, Hedges, Freight and logistics costs, purchase and sales prices and additional costs related to each transaction.
• Sustainability Mass Balance ensuring the trading book is updated, monitoring key regulatory aspects impacting the activity of the desk.
• Close cooperation with Ops team ensuring daily reporting tools are updated.
• Dealing with Middle Office for P&L reconciliation.
• Business development activities supporting the desk liaising with other internal support functions involved

2. Prepare various reports, calculations and research projects:

• Market analysis (supply and demand).
• Internal reports on trading activity.
• Daily update of excel sheet, reflecting the Market Structure.
• Arb calculations.
• Track refinery turnarounds.

3. The role may also require assistance with the following tasks:

• Risk management and market monitoring (learn basics).
• Dealing with Shipping Department, other Trading desks and Overseas offices in as instructed by traders;
