A global company based in Essex is currently seeking for a motivated Accounting Manager to join their growing business. You will be providing hands on approach to respond to technical and operational accounting queries.

Job description:

• Responsible for timely and accurate month end close activities of the Irish businesses under US GAAP.
• Ownership and review of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Business partnering with the FP&A (Based in the UK and Ireland), tax (based in the UK and Poland) and US corporate teams.
• Coaching and working effectively with the India accounting service organisation who do the day to day transactional activities (e.g. booking of entries for month end close and prepare reconciliations and stats).
• Responsible for timely preparation and review of statutory financial statements.
• Manage the EY audit for group and statutory audit and ensuring stats are filed on time.
• Deal with external consultants for tax and VAT as necessary to ensure filing of tax and VAT returns are done on time.
• US GAAP reporting for deferred taxes on quarterly basis.
• Managing the quarterly Management Reporting Certification "MRC" which is a quarterly balance sheet review.
• Dealing with and resolving accounting issues.
• Ad hoc accounting projects.

Requirements:

• Big 4 qualified ACA/ACCA
• 3-7 years PQE in large multinationals
• IFRS/US GAAP experience
• Managerial/business partnering experience especially being able to communicate and influence people in different geographies.
• Some travels to Ireland and possibly one visit to India
• Experience of IFRS
• Being hands on and proactive with can do attitude.
• Strong excel skills (V lookups, sum ifs and Pivots)
