An Accounts Payable/ Accounts Recievable Manager is needed to join a business service provider on a temp to perm basis.

An experienced transactional accountant is needed for a sole Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable role based in Central London.

The role will not involve managing a team but you will be fully responsible for the end-to-end process of all transactions.

The role is hybrid and will initially be in the office 3 days a week but this will likely reduce to 2 days flexible working once settled.

Main duties:

* Manage the accounts payable and receivable process end-to-end, serving as a point-of-contact for the overall process management

* Reconcile supplier's statements, prepare remittances for payment process, and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile monthly payments to the bank account

* Review invoices through the system timely and accurately

* Chase for approval of invoices to relevant team/person, once approved, complete approved invoices ensuring coded correctly to GL

* Ensure all key supplier accounts are fully reconciled on a regular basis and any queries resolved. Send out membership renewal invoices.

* Raise ad-hoc business-critical payments in the bank when requested and handle any queries/escalations

* Ensure all such payments are properly recorded in SAGE

* Ensure that all AP generated transactions are posted to the bank accounts in a timely fashion and completed according to the month end timetable

* Work with colleagues throughout the business to ensure problems are understood and resolved

* Set up Customer onboarding process for new clients.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 5+ years experience in AP and AR
  • Have worked in a sole role previously
  • Previous use of Sage 50 or another variation is essential
  • Notice period ideally immediate or 1 week, but up to 2 weeks will be considered
