Marks Sattin are currently working with a global Food Manufacturer based in Hessle for the role of Accounts Payable Controller!

They are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger clerk, to work as part of a team to process and control supplier invoices and international payments.

For this role, they will pay up to £32,000 and are looking for a candidate to start ASAP!

The role will involve processing high volume of supplier invoices as part of a fast paced international trading company, where the AP Clerk will report directly into the Financial Controller.


Responsibilities of the role are:

  • Accounts Payable control (invoice coding & posting, supplier statements, resolving queries)
  • Process supplier invoices on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Analyse and understand balances on supplier accounts
  • Reconcile each supplier's statement of account Monthly/Quarterly.
  • Pro-actively resolve debit balances on the purchase ledger, maintaining control over the quality of the purchase ledger and allocating payments timely in the correct period.
  • Assist with analysis requests, such as for year-end audit and tax computations
  • Assisting in the month end process as required, including prepayments/accruals, journal posting
  • Cover bank postings when Cashier is on holiday
  • Set up International Payments in banking software for payment & process daily payment runs
  • Credit card receipt/expenses analysis & posting in SAP.
  • Assist with adhoc tasks within the department
