Marks Sattin is currently working with a leading independent accountancy firm with offices across the North of England and ranked in the top 50 firms of accountants and business advisors. They have plans for growth, that are not only ambitious but well within our reach.

We are looking for an Accounting Senior to join the team within their busy Cumbrian Office.

This role will involve preparing accounts for various businesses, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships together with the associated tax computations. The postholder will be liaising directly with clients to resolve routine queries and prepare accounts and draft tax computations ready for client interview by the Partner.

A working knowledge of Xero and Sum-IT is desirable, as is the preparation of management accounts (although this is not essential). Some of the work undertaken in this role will take place on client's premises and so some travel will be required.

Strong communications skills are essential for the client interaction aspects of this role. You will be expected to manage your own workload, complete the work within the budgeted time and to the required deadlines. There may be the opportunity to progress if the right skills are demonstrated.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working within an accounts office, including accounts preparation. This vacancy is a full time role.
