Our client is an expanding manufacturing business, and they are seeking three Assistant Accountants to join their team based in Doncaster.

Key Accountabilities:

The level of responsibility for each of the below will depend on your level of experience. Full support will be given to any areas you have not previously covered, and you don't need previous experience in all of the below:

  • Assisting with the preparation of the month end management accounts.
  • Production of financial accounts up to the trial balance stage including accruals/prepayments.
  • Conduct month end balance sheet reconciliations and prepare reports.
  • Weekly cash flow forecasting and budget preparation.
  • Assist in year-end audit preparation.
  • Analyse monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in other departments for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare ad hoc information and reports as needed.
  • Undertake additional administrative/project work as required.

Experience required:

  • The successful candidate will be studying towards CIMA or ACCA (the Company is willing to offer professional development/sponsorship).
  • Good standard of formal education, including GCSE Maths and English (Grade A* - C) or equivalent.
  • You will have a good knowledge of current accounting standards, and some experience in the production of management accounts and published financial statements.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Business Central would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working within an Accountancy/Finance role/function.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
  • Good decision-making skills, assessing situations to determine the importance.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
