Assistant accountant (Graduate position)

My client, a foreign exchange brokerage firm, is looking for a graduate to join their finance team in London. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with an interest in pursuing a finance career within the financial Services industry with the goal of becoming an accountant.

The firm provides a comprehensive training and development scheme to progress you through the ranks as quickly as possible. Key Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of client money reconciliations
• Preparation of daily journal entries
• Assist with analytics on financial and non-financial information
• Assist the finance department at month end
• Assist in the accounts payable function
• Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitoring and processing client deposits
• Monitoring and processing client withdrawals
• Assisting with client queries in relations to deposits, withdrawals and other ad hoc queries
• Supporting the team with ad hoc tasks

Skills & Experience will include

• Graduate with a minimum 2:1 ideally in Accounting/Finance
• Looking to study ACCA or ACA
• Experience of working within Financial Services is preferred but not necessary
