Marks Sattin have partnered with a business services organisation based in Theale. We are helping in the search for a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join a growing business and dynamic finance team.

Key Deliverables:

Treasury & Cash Management:

  • Preparation of cash flow forecast
  • Forward projections of customer credit limits needs
  • Management of intercompany payments and preparation of intercompany payments for the bank
  • Budgeting and forecasting:
  • Learn preparation of Financial Forecast of Quarter for cover purposes
  • Learn how to input the annual work plan into GFS

Financial Reporting: (Monthly)

  • Interim Review of P&L & Balance sheet
  • Review the local gross margin
  • Prepare an post corporation tax journals
  • Marketing Trials accrual and & Prepayments
  • Monthly sales, profitability and EBIT (Performance Report)
  • Supply chain costs reporting
  • GL Analysis
  • Update the sales price monitor
  • Prepare stock reconciliation & post journal
  • Extranet stock confirmation

Financial Reporting: (Quarterly)

  • Cover for full GFS Reporting
  • Quarterly PIMS cost allocation
  • Prepare and post inventory journal by supplier

Controlling & Business Services:

  • Manage customer rebates & pricing for each season:
  • Set up and maintain customer price lists in SBO
  • Liaising with commercial team for rebated prices
  • Calculating rebate due versus accrued
  • Obtaining approval of rebate calculation from commercial team
  • Manage raising of credit notes plus accompanying letters
  • Analysis of sales data for eligible sales

Candidate Key Requirements:

  • Part-Qualified and willing to continue studying towards chosen qualification
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with accountancy systems
  • Accuracy & attention to detail
  • Able to work towards wider team goals
  • Able to work without close supervision
  • Able to manage to strict deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise to manage time pressures
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Desire to progress further within the function
  • Exposure to a business with inventory management
