Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working in partnership with a mid-sized construction business in the Swindon area to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract basis (6 months initially with a possibility of extension). An exciting time to join as they are targeting growth both organically and through acquisition.
The Assistant Management Accountant position will be paying between £37,000 and £40,000 per annum.
The Assistant Management Accountant Role
This role would suit somebody with experience around month end and associated analysis in a fast-paced environment, experience gained within the construction industry would be advantageous. You will have exposure to a wide array of tasks and support the Finance Director with driving forward processes including an upcoming system change. Key responsibilities include:
- Sub-contractor payments (Review and process fortnightly)
- Raising of sales invoices
- Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
- Accruals and prepayments
- Prepare and post Journals
- Provide management information with insight on performance versus forecast/budgets
Key Skills and Experience
- Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by Experience
- Strong analytical skills and
- Ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders
- Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups etc.)
