Marks Sattin are working with a reputable construction business, based in Castleford. This business has undergone large amount of change over the recent years, developing its finance team into a stable and efficient function. This role will include:

• Day to day finance - full functional multi-currency transactional accounting
• Month end accounting - including, but not limited to, calculating monthly accruals, intercompany reconciliations, depreciation
• duties may involve production and analysis of weekly, monthly and annual reporting for cash flow, margin analysis, departmental overheads, P&L, Balance Sheet, etc
• budgeting and forecasting
• assisting in the preparation of the annual accounts, tax returns and year end audit
• assisting the Financial Controller with various projects

The successful applicant will be:

• Studying ACCA/CIMA or late stages of AAT
• Able to demonstrate strong numerical, analytical and communication skills, and work well as part of a team.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Have broad experience of accounting in an SME business environment.
