Are you an accomplished Audit Manager with experience in corporate clients, looking to move to a Top 20 London Practice?
A highly respected Top 20 Accountancy practices head office in London, comprising of 30 partners and 200+ staff are looking for a strong Audit Manager, someone with current experience of working as a Manager in a Medium sized or large Accountancy firm, preferably within the Top 50.
The job is an exciting role for a qualified accountant with managerial experience, to work with a diverse client portfolio within the profession. The job will allow you to work with Senior Management in order to shape and assist with further growth of the organisation whilst providing a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to their clients.
The division you will be part of, works on clients ranging from large multi-national corporations to small family companies, many of which are owned by wealthy individuals. In addition to commercial companies in service/manufacturing industries, we also deal with professional partnerships, landed estates, FS companies, entertainment and sport businesses, entrepreneurs, charities and schools.
An audit manager in the division will have responsibility for managing a wide range of clients that operate in different sectors. They will run a portfolio of around 20 to 30 clients totalling around £400-£500k.
They will be responsible for:
- Managing the audit process
- Ensures agreed deliverables are within the set time frame
- Budgeting and invoicing clients
- Staff planning and management of them during the course of the audit
- Inclusion of tender process when necessary
- Networking opportunities
- Opportunities to do corporate finance work when required.
- We will also provide the manager with regular technical training and also with the necessary soft skills development that will help them progress quickly.
The successful applicant will be outgoing and resilient, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The position will require an extremely high level of ability and commitment, with the flexibility to work long hours as required. Candidates should be self-motivated, display a positive approach and have the ability to get things done. In addition, they should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates should be ACA/ACCA qualified with a good exam record. The successful candidate will possess a wide range of audit experience. The candidate will need to have experience in managing a portfolio of small to large clients as well as having the required understanding of FRS102 and IFRS. The firm will provide training and support to help develop the successful candidate's specialist knowledge and capabilities.
