Business Analyst - Payments - Sanctions screening - Fircosoft - Regulatory

Our client, a Top Tier Global Financial Institution, requires a Business Analyst with Sanctions screening experience and recent exposure to Fircosoft, to join a small global team of Business Analysts within the Global Payment Services division, to specifically focus on Sanctions Screening.

Key activities will include the development of functional change requirements and operational processes, to facilitate the delivery of solution documents and controls, and participation in UAT activities

Principle accountabilities of the job holder will include:

  • Review of global and regional projects requests to assess validity and feasibility in line with current Group Standards and requirements
  • Produce analysis and commentary including supporting analysis and documentation
  • Review and challenge monthly submissions, MIs and operating plans, potential solutions - where it potentially does not deliver in line with expectation
  • Liaisons with key technical stakeholders globally, organise and run meetings to assess and understand requirements
  • Represent Payment Services in relevant meetings and provide appropriate subject matter guidance
  • Contribute to the development of Best in Class processes, controls and metrics through generation of ideas for change as well as managing the implementation of change.
  • Ensure requirements are understood, aligned and delivered as per minimum standards defined under TOM and as per delivery pipeline
  • Ensure no delivery timescales are missed and costs are equal to or lower than forecast for Functional Requirement Documents and working with the Vendor, Functional Requirement Specification Documents
  • Support the preparation of comprehensive presentations, briefing materials for the Programme Manager / Senior Stakeholders in the team
  • Stakeholder management across a complex environment - Business Lines, FCC, Compliance, Change Delivery, Service Delivery, Software Delivery. All stakeholders need to be engaged, views considered and brought together to work collectively towards a consistent solution in line with Group TOM, Policy and Standards.
  • Timescales can often be demanding with late emerging requirements driven by compelling regulatory expectations which need to be progressed within short timescales to ensure the bank remains fully compliant with Regulations at all times.
  • Ensures Regulatory requirements addressing risk management are delivered to meet mandatory timescales

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • The role holder is expected to have good knowledge of payment processes which must be kept updated in an environment that is changing and where theses skills are in high demand
  • Skilled at understanding the agendas and requirements of stakeholders and the ability to convey coherent arguments in succinct prose is essential
  • Extensive Business Analysis and problem solving experience including working in relevant environment/s, i.e. experience of successfully working with stakeholders Internationally
  • Experience of sanctions screening and regulations and a clear understanding of their impact on financial transactions
  • Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience of using relevant software packages, in particular Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exposure to Fircosoft sanctions screening filter and detailed knowledge of the Fircosoft FFF tool.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
  • Experience in UAT activities of a major global project
