Marks Sattin are currently working with a leading group purchasing organisation to assist in the recruitment of a CIO. This is a global business who manage huge amounts of contracted spend. This role will see you manage and roll out changes to computer and systems technology. You will also create alignment between two business units' strategies.

Duties;

• Participate in overall business planning, bringing knowledge and future vision of technology and systems to enhance the organisations competitive position.

• Develops overall strategy for information needs, systems development and hardware acquisition, and integration including mainframe, mini, macro, and client/server computing applications.

• Manage information security and access management.

• Direct and coordinate systems design, programming, installation and operations.

• Creates alignment between the UK IT strategy and US IT strategy

• Develops and maintains annual operating and capital budgets for operations

• Recruits, develops and retains management staff.

• Maintains contact with IT suppliers and maintains knowledge of current technology, equipment, prices and terms of agreements to minimise the investment required to meet established service levels.

Knowledge & Skills;

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required

• Master's degree in related field preferred

• Microsoft certified - desirable

• Minimum 7 years' senior leadership experience

• Experience of development

• Experience of building and empowering technical delivery teams
