Marks Sattin are currently working with a Grimsby based FMCG company to assist in the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will be responsible for a range of activities which include business partnering with senior stakeholders at board level and within the commercial, procurement and operational teams.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for key business lines, ensuring long term returns are delivered, and assessing profitability while providing insightful commentary
• Producing analysis and reporting for Opex costs, Capex investment and Revenue recognition
• Guiding the senior leadership group through appropriate KPI measures and margin analysis
• Managing the finance team to deliver the day to day financial accounting activity, weekly reporting and Month End and Year End accounting processes in an accurate and timely manner

Skills:

Qualified accountant (preferably CIMA), who has strong commercial accounting experience, exposure to the manufacturing of FMCGs and is comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.

Strong understanding of financial controls, management reporting, process improvement and financial analysis.

Led a team of two or more direct reports including team members at the qualified professional level.
