Marks Sattin are partnering a leading business in Telford who are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager to support and shape new business and commercial change.

In this role, you'll be reporting directly into the Head of Commercial Finance and you will be required to undertake a range of activities including bespoke modelling; and will need strong analytical skills together with the ability to communicate across the business spectrum, including customers.

Key duties as Commercial Finance Manager include:

  • Financial modelling and support for new and existing business activities, working closely with bid/other internal teams to provide commercial and financial support, making recommendations to get the best commercial deal and optimise profitability.
  • Provide support and advice to the BAU front-end process, ensuring proposals for new work are commercially and financially acceptable.

  • Understand and support the complex commercial environment, including the Financial Model which underpins our client pricing framework.

To be considered for the position of Commercial Finance Manager, candidates must be/have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA)
  • Experience in financial/business modelling and/or bespoke financial/business analysis with ability to apply commercial knowledge to a range of activities.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex financial information.
  • Ability to absorb complex environments and add value quickly.
  • Able to work in an unstructured environment and able to prioritise workload and work under a high degree of pressure, at times, during the bid cycle.
  • Be proactive, enthusiastic and willing to get involved with the business and approach challenges /problems and their resolution with a positive 'can do' attitude.
