Summary of role:

To support the business in delivering improvements to performance understanding and insight. You will support the Senior Financial Analyst in providing challenge and support to the wider business.

The main purpose of the role is to improve the reporting and analysis across the business including;

  • Develop and produce KPI reporting and Ancillary Income reporting
  • Support the Management Reporting Pack production and development
  • Developing and collating weekly trade pack
  • Analytical support to marketing, property and operational functions
  • Provide support on short and long term forecasts
  • Support on the annual budget process - leading specific areas

Responsibilities:

  • Collation of weekly trading pack - Managing relationships with other departments to continually improve quality and content
  • Provide weekly analysis of ancillary revenue for trade meeting, highlighting key variances and trends.
  • Ongoing analysis of any potential changes within ancillary revenue streams. Supporting operational owners with analysis of risks and opportunities.
  • Own the development and ongoing production of Operational reporting, ensuring reporting is timely and accurate, developing the reports in-line with operational requirements.
  • Support Senior Analyst in ensuring all Management reporting is completed to required standards, developing the reporting as business needs change.
  • Work closely with the rest of the finance department to ensure management accounts are representative of monthly business performance.
  • Track and support cost saving initiatives in the business.
  • Provide support in the annual budget process. Managing the wider business to deliver an accurate budget that all teams sign up to, and helping to ensure this is delivered in agreed timescales.
  • Help facilitate short term and longer term forecast processes within the finance team.

Skills required:

  • CIMA or ACCA studier
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ideally experience of working with multi-dimensional databases
  • Ideally experience in multi-site leisure/retail industry
  • Confidence in dealing with senior management and working cross functionally
  • Able to self-motivate and work to strict deadlines
  • Effective prioritisation skills, and able to demonstrate flexibility in working practices
