Credit Risk Quant Business Analyst - £700 per day

A leading Banking Group is seeking to recruit a Credit Risk Quant Business Analyst to work on the enhancement of the existing Probability of default (PD) model.

Responsibilities include:

- Engage with Group Country Risk to provide technical expertise in support of the enhancement or re-development of the existing Sovereign PD model

- Support development and deployment of credit risk models (PD, EAD, LGD), as directed

- Review and validate existing credit risk models to establish their fitness for purpose in the business and recommend improvements or remedial action

- Maintain cost discipline, rationalise and consolidate expense

- Liaison with Risk Systems and IT to support model deployment

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of statistics and/or econometrics and familiarity with sophisticated tools for numerical analysis. In addition the candidate will have strong knowledge of credit business and credit products as well as the Basel 2 framework, with a strong banking background.
