My client, a global services organisation, are looking to recruit a Finance Analyst into their Grade A and exquisite Birmingham office.

The role is particularly suited towards someone who has 2+ years PQE from a CIMA/ACCA or ACA background, has strong analytical experience who is driven, self-motivated, professional and wants an opportunity to take on a senior role within the team.

The current position will have only 1 direct report right now, however there is defined scope that it will be responsible for oversight of any other staff hired into the office as the business grows its presence in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

* To lead and develop a team of one ensuring appropriate assignment of responsibilities within the team to meet overall objectives, own and develop the risk and control framework in place for the team's responsibilities, including process documentation for all processes owned.

* Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and payroll processes, inclusive of month end reconciliation and reporting (ledger control, variance analysis and running ad-hoc analysis processes required for MI team and other senior stakeholders).

* Develop knowledge of the industry market and the accounting policies adhered to the business.

* A confident individual who will be prepared to challenge, improve and support the business to help meet objectives set by the senior leadership team.
