Finance Assistant

Finance assistant - Job duties
- Process purchase orders.
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices by reconciling debtors and creditors regularly.
- Prepare VAT returns and submit on a timely basis.
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Assist the finance manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis
- Answers questions and provide assistance to your team and help your manager with adhoc work as neccessary
- Manage inputting invoices, sales etc
- Manage NI/PAYE monthly payments
- Filing and paying VAT returns
- Excel use at an entry level
- Counting takings from each department
- Any other adhoc administrative duties as the business demands

The ideal candidate will:
- Ideally have experience of working in a busy all round finance assistant role
- Have an ability to pick up new skills and learn quickly - new systems etc
- Possess strong spoken and written communication skills
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Prioritise and manage your workload to meet deadlines

This is a full time position Monday - Friday, normal business hours and on a 3mth contract basis initially with a view to further extensions/ permanent options should you deliver well in your initial few months.
