On behalf of a leading wholesale/distribution business in the Stafford area, Marks Sattin are recruiting for a punchy Finance Business Partner to help drive financial performance.

The purpose of the role is to deliver Business focused "best practice" reporting and insight to operational performance. To successfully deliver the provision of financial information including weekly costings, monthly accounts, forecasts, budgets, KPIs and balance sheet reconciliations in a time efficient and consistent manner.

Key duties as Finance Business Partner include:

• Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Operational Performance reporting
• Provide variance analysis with adequate commentary
• Support the Finance Sales Team in the new tender process and contract re-tender process, as required
• Achievement and monitoring of agreed KPI
• Prepare full balance sheet reconciliations in which all accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis with risk and opportunities clearly identified
• Production of the Annual Budget
• Production of Interim Forecasts
• Monitor controls (i.e. Aged Debtors/POs/Payroll)
• Support the accounts payable process through (but not limited to) accurate coding and authorisation
• Assist internal and external auditors with any enquiries
• Builds effective professional relations with internal and external stakeholders
• Provision of ad hoc support to the Senior Finance Manager as required

To be considered for the position of Finance Business Partner, candidates must be/have:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Commercially aware and able to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
• A natural people person as this role will require you to manage and develop an Assistant Accountant. Prior management experience is preferred but not essential
