An independent, creative marketing agency based in central London is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager/ Financial Controller to come in and run the finance team.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of all financial aspects of the company and for partnering with the senior management team to advise them on their financial planning. The role also supports the finance director in the financial management of the Group business. This is a self-contained role encompassing the operational responsibility of financial systems and includes working closely with human resources to ensure a seamless operation. As a member of the senior management team, the role shares collective responsibility for the decisions made by that group.

Alongside accounts preparation, analysis and business partnering, you will be responsible for managing junior members in the finance team. Ideally this candidate will have a minimum of 3 years management accounts experience, ideally from a creative media background. They should have excellent communication skills for interaction with personnel at all levels and the ability to work towards deadlines and self-prioritize. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential and familiarity with Sage Line 50 is desirable. The role would suit someone who is a part-qualified/ finalist/ newly-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA).
