A rapidly expanding and highly acquisitive global insurance business are looking for a new addition to their Finance team.

For the foreseeable future the firm will be experiencing a significant amount of growth and are looking for a motivated and diligent finance professional to provide commercial finance support to the Group team.

The role will focus on being the point of contact between the Group and the acquired businesses, liaising with various internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on technical accounting matters and working with the Financial Controller on creating the best in house procedures, controls and support for the Group.

Responsibilities:

• Acting as the primary point of contact between Group entities regarding their integration into the wider business.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Group entities for financial reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement preparation across the Group
• Continuously review and enhance financial reporting processes, seeking opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Implement best practices and automation tools to optimise financial data analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience in financial reporting and exposure to IFRS.
• Knowledge of controls. Experience on controls and remediation/audit is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and sustain good working relationships with internal and external clients.
• Experience within the Financial Services Industry would be desirable but not necessary.
