Marks Sattin is working with a well respected business that is looking at recruiting for a Financial Accountant to provide maternity cover for a period of 6-12 Months.

This is a very impressive business and you will form part of the compliance function supporting the Finance Manager. You will play a key role in alerting the business to risk and pro-actively ensuring compliance and best practice is cascaded throughout the finance team and across the wider business.

In the role you will:

• Produce good quality VAT advice to business/branches, consulting third parties where appropriate.
• Take responsibility for the review of UK and group VAT return and production of more complicated elements of UK Group VAT return.
• Own the production of consolidated insurance renewal.
• Take responsibility for the production of Corporation Tax and Deferred Tax calculations.
• Pro active and timely response to tender information requests from business.
• Pro actively liaise with other Departments in performance of other Compliance work (PAYE/NI Compliance, Carbon Tax Trading audit).
• Review of Compliance balance sheet reconciliations.
• Web form statutory disclosure and reporting.

This a role that will suit a part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) who has a good technical background either working in a small practice or as a Financial Accountant. In return for your support on this contract, you will receive:-
