I am currently working with an ever growing internet marketing agency who are looking to expend their team and take on a Financial Controller on an interim basis with possibility of the role becoming permanent. They are a very exciting company and have proven great growth over the last few years making this a very exciting environment for an ambitious Financial Controller to join and make their mark. They are based near Liverpool Street and looking for someone with ideally an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and high quality reports and presentations to deadline in line with group policy; including both routine and ad hoc reporting for review.
  • Participate as a member of the EMEA Finance management team to plan and lead the reporting processes across the business.
  • Perform financial analysis; including Key Performance Indicators and ad-hoc analysis to support decision making.
  • Identify, and drive to implementation, improvements to the management information, financial systems and decision making practices across the business.
  • Liaise with international accountants to coordinate consolidated accounts and to deliver group compliance requests.
  • Implementation of new ERP systems.
  • Cash flow forecasting and budgetary control.
  • Coordination and management of annual audit with external auditors.
  • Meet statutory preparation and filing deadlines, ensuring the company correctly complies with all taxation legislations, including employment taxes, VAT, and Corporation Tax.
  • Business partnering and explaining accounting issues and strategies with non finance heads of departments
  • Development of the finance team whilst ensuring strong succession paths

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant ideally ACA/CA with industry experience
  • Experience with Salesforce preferable
  • Media experience preferable
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and challenge senior contacts
  • Strategic planning and analytical abilities
  • Proactive with keeping up to date with IFRS and statutory requirements
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
