A top-tier real estate fund is looking to hire an Associate focusing on Fund Performance and Investor Relations.

Real estate experience is a prerequisite for this opportunity either from TS/CF or working in a similar position for a real estate fund.

This fund is highly regarded, with the Managing Partners, respective figures in the industry, as a business they have generated excellent returns to their investors, with their funds are always oversubscribed. Their portfolio and AUM is impressive and the business consists of high calibre individuals from finance to front office. They rarely hire as most that join stay for the long-term given the experience gained and financial rewards.

The business is looking for an analytically minded candidate to come on board to perform the following:

  • Responsible for preparation of all Investment performance and Fund performance calculations. Work directly with Investment & Finance teams to ensure complete management and investor reporting, including Quarterly Investor Reports
  • Form a close working relationship with the accounting service providers to ensure accurate and timely information is available on all Investments.
  • Working with the CFO and Investor Relations Director ensure that all Investment cash flows are updated in the Track Record and clearly presented for fundraising and investor relations
  • Ensure that Fund level information on Investments is properly captured and regularly updated to allow Fund performance analysis to be undertaken
  • Work with the Finance team and Investor Relations to ensure all Investor Requests are met on a timely basis
  • Undertake ongoing analysis of individual investments and projects with the Senior Management team for decision-making purposes
  • Work with the Partners, CFO and Investor Relations on capital raising requests i.e. questionnaires and financial performance data
  • Take a lead role in the development and implementation of the proposed Fund performance software system

To be considered for the role:

  • ACA/CFA at the Manager level at the big 4 (or equivalent) either within Corporate Finance or Transaction Services working
  • Real estate experience is a prerequisite
  • Alternatively an accounting professional working in a fund finance team where they are involved in fund performance
  • Finally, a CFA profile working for a competitor fund where they have Portfolio management experience and performance analysis expertise
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and analytical skills
  • Confident self-starter, able to work independently and without supervision
  • Prior knowledge of accounting and financial modelling
  • Portfolio management experience and performance analysis expertise
