Start your job searchWe are partnering with a rapidly expanding bank that is looking for a Group Head of Model Risk Governance & Validation to join team in London.

The successful candidate must have 7+ years of Model (risk) governance & validation experience within retail banking!!!
Examples of responsibilities to expect:
- Ensure that the appropriate model governance framework is in place.
- Set and be responsible for the bank's model risk appetite, providing necessary monitoring, oversight and maintain model and non-model policies.
- Independent model validation - oversight of all validation activity across the Bank
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and coaching of all direct reports
- Be the subject matter expert when it comes to knowledge of risk frameworks, capital requirements regulation (CRR) relating to the internal ratings-based approach (IRB).
Candidate Requirements:
- 7+ years of model governance, validation and/or development experience within retail banking!
- You must have experience leading and managing a senior team of risk professionals.
- Essential that you have prior experience working in an IRB compliant governance environment.
- Expert in your understanding of model risk and its life cycle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence management and to lead and work collaboratively across teams
- Engage in minimal travelling between offices.
