A multi-billion pound turnover financial services technology business is seeking a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, which is a newly created position to allow the Finance Director to focus on strategic initiatives. This organisation is very fast paced, and is experiencing considerable growth due to the dominance of their product, and the technological advancements they are making to take the industry to the next level.

You will have the responsibility of three Manager level direct reports, and will be responsible for delivering high quality analysis around business performance as well as supporting the commercial business teams in their delivery of budgets, forecasts and long range plans. The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

- Deliver robust and accurate analysis of business performance for individual business sectors identifying issues, opportunities and actions

- Lead the commercial budget and forecast processes

- Implement a cycle of rolling forecasts

- Develop and lead a robust 5 year planning process

- Continue to drive improvement in business analysis and reporting

- Support the Finance Director in the development of the finance function to be 'best in class'

- Support major initiatives and projects as they arise

The client will expect you to have the following key skills and experience:

- Qualified accountant or equivalent

- Background outside of financial services in FMCG, Retail, Telcos or IT

- Strong commercial awareness and experience of working in a commercial finance role

- Able to manipulate, analyse and model large volumes of data and identify key issues; must very good in Excel and PowerPoint

- Strong leader both of direct team and across peer group (finance and non-finance)

- Able to lead and execute projects and to drive change

- Able to present to Senior Management

- Able to work with and influence non-finance teams based on robust data and analysis

- Experience of working in a complex organisation, with lots of change
