Start your job searchA leading international Business operating in more than 20 countries worldwide are currently recruiting for a IFRS 15 specialist to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of timely and high quality technical accounting guidance to all parts of the business, including the preparation of accounting memorandums and aligning conclusions with auditors.
- Provision of specific guidance on the application of IFRS 15, Revenue from Contacts with Customers, to all parts of the business, liaising with the wider Group implementation team, external advisors and auditors.
- The review of proposed and new IFRS accounting guidance and, where required, liaison with relevant finance team members to determine potential impacts.
- The drafting of application guidance for the Group's Financial Reporting and Governance Manual to reflect changes to IFRS or other identified accounting issues
- A good working knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 15) and the analytic skills to research GAAP materials to determine appropriate accounting treatments
Candidate Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Strong communication skills (written, aural and presentation) to summarise and explain complex issues
- Self-motivated to provide timely and good quality services for stakeholders ad-hoc requests whilst managing priorities to ensure the completion of other longer-term deliverables
- The self-confidence to support accounting conclusions when challenged by stakeholders or advisers
