Infrastructure Architect - £65,000

A global professional services organisation is currently looking to hire an infrastructure Architect to be based out of its prestigious central London offices.

Working within the Solutions and Architecture team, the main remit of the role will be to design, document and facilitate the implementation of the company's applications, technology and enterprise architectures through the various IT teams and technology partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
  • Manage and develop the architecture for a broader scope of projects, working closely with fellow architects that manage and design architecture for a single project or initiative.
  • Provide consulting support to application architects within projects to ensure the project is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
  • Document all solution architecture design and analysis work.
  • Provide strategic influence across groups, projects and products to implement cost-effective technology solutions to solve complex business problems.

Skill & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect delivering successful migration/greenfield projects
  • Proficient in designing, building and deploying infrastructure services at a complex level
  • Experience in infrastructure services design, strategy and architecture related activities - ideally a professional certified for the Azure/o365 platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability in technology partner management practices including the ability to lead vendors/partners in defining architectures
  • Practical experience with cloud based technologies such as Office365, Azure etc.
  • Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment Competencies/Characteristics.
