Take full and pro active responsibility for the production of accurate accounting for the for costs (profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow) on a monthly basis. In particular achieve monthly audit quality reporting.
Take a "no shocks" approach to cost accounting, leading the team by example.
Managing the relationship and communication with Commercial Finance Managers, Finance Director and other senior stakeholders.
Pro actively communicate and make decisions as delegate of the Finance Director
Ensure balance sheet integrity, pro actively manage the relationship with the auditors for exceptional items and ensure audit quality deliverables.
Directly linking and working with Financial Accounting and Control teams in Dunstable/ Bristol to ensure seamless, coordinated month end process.
Preparation of senior stakeholder analysis.
Technical balance sheet accounting advice and decisions
Maintaining balance sheet compliance with group accounting policies.
Review of statutory forms and co ordination and ownership of year end tour meeting report for exceptional items.
Continual process improvement.
