Marks Sattin are proud to be partnering with a High Growth & PE backed Retailer in the Solihull area who are seeking an Interim Management Accountant to cover a 12 month period.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Cash reporting
  • Posting payroll into the Accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations

Additional VAT responsibilities:

  • UK & Ireland - quarterly/bimonthy
  • France/Spain/Germany - monthly
  • Completing of the deferment (form C79) & Duty - reconciling invoices monthly
  • Provide cover for AP and Financial Controller where required

Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

  • Part-Qualified, QBE or Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience of handling VAT is essential as you will be required to work with the tax department in completing the returns with limited support
  • Good understanding of payroll - reports, calculations and postings
  • Month end procedures including balance sheet reconciliations, creating/posting journals
  • Must have an eye for detail and be able to demonstrate ability to hit deadlines consistently
  • A real hands-on indvidual who enjoys working independently and as a collective

Due to the nature of this role and the clients flexibility on start we welcome applications from those who are (1) Immediately Available or (2) who could be becoming available towards the end of August/ early September 2018.

On offer is a salary of upto £35,000 + Benefits Package
