Job Title: Management Accountant

Employment Type: FTC - 6 Months (Temp to Perm)

Overview:
A fast-growing business in the premium food and beverage sector is looking for a Management Accountant to join its London-based finance team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is confident managing core accounting processes and supporting financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support the month-end close process
• Post daily bank transactions and maintain accurate cash records
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and manage the fixed asset register
• Assist with quarterly VAT returns and HMRC duty filings
• Perform stock reconciliations and support inventory accounting
• Manage employee expenses and corporate card transactions
• Assist with payroll postings and monthly payroll reporting
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
• Act as a key support to the Finance Assistant

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (Sage 200 experience is a plus)
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
