Internal Audit Manager

Reports to: Senior Internal Audit Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £70,000

An award winning and progressive financial services organisation that is going through a period of rapid growth and change is currently seeking an ambitious and motivated Internal Audit Manager to join the high-performing audit function.

The role will include performing the annual risk assessments & formulating the annual plan as well as executing audits to high quality standards and ensuring scope is risk based. You will be working closely with the Senior Internal Auditor Manager to establish stakeholder relationships and provide assurance over relevant business risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments to produce audits for inclusion in the audit plan.
• Ensure the audit strategy provides assurance over new and emerging risks.
• Execution and delivery of audits in line with audit methodology and IIA standards and budget
• Produce IA reports that address the root cause of issues and ensure recommendations are commercial and address the ongoing sustainability of the control environment.
• Ensure recommendations are followed up to closure and drive timely issue resolution and sustainability of implemented controls.
• With the agreement of the Audit Director perform risk advisory projects to support the business with high impact change initiatives.

Experience

• Experience of auditing in financial services/banking either in an external or internal audit capacity. Minimum 2 years post qualification experience
• Experience of auditing in Financial Services with Credit Risk / Internal Ratings Based (IRB) expertise preferable
• Good working knowledge of UK regulation and key areas of regulatory focus from PRA and FCA.
