This is an Investment Controller position for a leading, European private equity firm. The role involves consolidation and financial and operational control of portfolio businesses.

The firm is head-quartered in London and boasts an AUM of over £20BN. They are a fantastic firm with an excellent reputation. The head-count is circa 80 people with Finance and Operations making up 15. They have a progressive approach to work/life balance and flexibility as well as a heavy emphasis on personality whenever they hire - it is a very sociable and friendly business.

The role is broad and stand-alone. It reports into the CFO and has no direct reports. It works alongside the Group finance team and heavily with portfolio companies.

Duties include (spec also attached):

• Investment controlling on Group level (budget, forecasts, analyses, reporting)
• Close collaboration with selected portfolio companies within the AURELIUS Group
• Participation in analyses and optimisation of controlling in AURELIUS' operational subsidiary groups and -companies
• In collaboration with the group consolidation division, participation in the compilation of weekly and monthly reports to the board and supervisory board of AURELIUS (on group and portfolio company level)
• Point of contact within the Group for controlling matters

The ideal candidate will have had prior experience of working with portfolio companies, subsidiaries or complex/large SPVs. Although likely to come from asset management, the CFO is open on industry background and as such it is not important, as long as the candidate has control experience.
