Strategy Manager - Corporate Finance/M&A

A unique role within the Irish Market focusing on Post Merger/Acquisition deals from a Strategic integration and carve out perspective.


When needing "Strategic Advice" once an acquisition has been made or merger has been completed companies will invariably reach out to our client to provide them with a top-down strategic review, reviewing their Target Operating Model across any and all platforms and departments. This strategic review offers the company a unique appraisal of their current strategy but also where it needs to be post, Merger or Acquisition or indeed with regards a new market entry!


A real mixture between Strategy and M&A/Corporate Finance is what this role is!


This is a newly created position and will focus on delivery key strategic advice to a range of diverse client's post-merger and or acquisition, PE Investment, IPO, strategy definition and design and or Target Operating model change and will focus on Carve Outs, Divestures, Value Creation, Cost Optimization, Target Operating Model Design and Re-design.


Day to Duties.

  • Independently manage an engagement/ major workstream in a large programme and provide the final point of review on deliverables. Support the team throughout projects, ensuring the workload is manageable and perform regular project retrospective
  • Advise senior clients across all sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing, shaping and executing target operating model strategies for transactions.
  • Lead the execution of rigorous and insightful analysis, build an evidence base to support strategy development and change, and develop and communicate informed recommendations that shape or support the clients' business strategy
  • Provide dedicated support to different types of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g. operational and due diligence including IT, carve-out planning), and post-deal (e.g. integration planning, synergy tracking).
  • Lead blended project teams comprising colleagues from our transactions and advisory practices as well as leading meetings with client stakeholders to advise, shape and drive the planning for integration, carve-out / separation and operational restructuring
  • Contribute to the management of complex engagements, including commercials, resourcing and risk.
  • Adapt a flexible approach to support on broader Operational and IT transaction work
  • Create and Define key market and sector strategies for global clients and act as a "Go To" advisor specifically on new market entrants and post deal acquisitions.

We are ideally seeking a Strategy & Project Management professional who has demonstrated experience in working with firms pre or post deal in either a Strategy or Delivery context.


Experience in Transaction Services and or Corporate Finance would be an advantage however not a pre-requisite as the position will focus on Strategic Project delivery and strategy advice to clients post M&A activity.
You will have gained at least 6 years' experience and will be keen to join a newly formed division and develop your career within a newly defined service line.
