Start your job searchA leading Banking Group is seeking to recruit a highly experienced Market Risk Manager to join a new Market Risk Infrastructure programme that is looking to commence at the beginning of next year.
Key responsibilities will include:
Design and develop Market Risk models (VaR, IRC, Stress test) including research and design of methodology, construction of model in VB.net, and writing clear and comprehensive documentation.
Complete new product assessments including design of test plans for new product PV, sanity checking and risk report analysis, agreeing timelines with Front office, conducting testing, and writing clear and comprehensive documentation.
Completion of timely and accurate FSA Quarterly backtesting packs
Develop junior Market Risk analytics team members
Participate in Market Risk analytics team meetings
Manage Market Risk analytics team members
Participate in recruitment of new team members
The successful candidate will have a higher qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics or Finance, in addition to having strong programming skills using programmes such as VBA or VB.net. A minimum of 3 years and ideally 5 years of Finance/Banking experience which includes experience of Market Risk modelling (eg VaR, stress testing), and/or knowledge of derivatives pricing, and FSA experience.
