Operational Risk Officer - Designated Person - PCF39 required for leading consultancy based in Dublin 1. Excellent opportunity in a growing and diverse organisation . Our client seeks to recruit a head of operational risk management within the firm's Central Bank of Ireland regulated UCITS and AIFMD compliant management company.

This important role will involve overseeing and contributing to the continued development of the firm's operational risk management framework, culture and practices ensuring they remain fit for purpose as the firm continues to grow.

Duties will include:

  • Acting as Designated Person for PCF-39B: Operational Risk Management
  • Acting as a member of the firm's Risk Committee
  • Maintaining an effective operational risk framework which should ensure that there are adequate lines of defense within the organisation
  • Regularly performing a risk assessment to enable a risk-based approach when determining the scope of the operational risk programme
  • Maintaining a monitoring programme that takes into consideration all areas of the firm's activities.
  • Maintaining adequate policies & procedures
  • Completion of risk assessment exercises in respect of the firm's clients
  • Oversight of due diligence of fund service providers to include Investment Managers, Distributors, Fund Administrators and Depositaries

The successful candidate will have:

  • Detailed understanding of fund & management company operations
  • Minimum of 10 years operational risk experience in a regulated financial services business in the investment management industry
  • Experience of coordinating and producing multi-source management information, dashboards, scorecards and reports including a strong analytical capability
  • Professional qualification (e.g. legal / accounting / CFA / ACOI)
  • Must meet minimum requirements of Central Bank of Ireland fitness and probity rules in respect of a PCF holder
