Our Globally recognised food manufacturing client based in Grimsby is looking for an Operations Finance Assistant to join their great team in Grimsby! you will be part of a culture that values innovation, quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. You will be a key team member of the finance/operations team, reporting on yield and labour performance for varying timescales. The successful candidate will support a continuous improvement plan, improving data feeds and communication from factory floor through to the Head of Operations, reporting accurate/meaningful data to support accurate informative decision making.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assistance in the preparation of monthly accounts for the Cluster.
• Preparation and reconciliation of all stock items internal and external, highlighting any risks of obsolescence.
• Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data
• Collecting, analysing, and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reduction
• Ensure MI is consistent, honest, open, routinely reviewed.
• The application of financial rigor to all activity to ensure value for money for the cluster.
• Assist in the trending of reports and material variances communicating reports in a timely manner.
• Assist with development, and implementation of policies and programs that guide the organisation in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
• Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate.

Experience required:

• Experience in manufacturing / operational accounting. (Desirable)
• Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups.
• Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
• Track record of delivery
• A personal commitment to role model behaviours
• A working understanding of Microsoft Office
