Our Globally recognised food manufacturing client based in Grimsby is looking for an Operations Finance Assistant to join their great team in Grimsby! you will be part of a culture that values innovation, quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. You will also have the opportunity to work with diverse and delicious products that are sourced responsibly and sustainably from over 50 different protein sources from 5 continents.

You will be a key team member of the finance/operations team, reporting on yield and labour performance for varying timescales. The successful candidate will support a continuous improvement plan, improving data feeds and communication from factory floor through to the Head of Operations, reporting accurate/meaningful data to support accurate informative decision making.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assistance in the preparation of monthly accounts for the Cluster.
  • Preparation and reconciliation of all stock items internal and external, highlighting any risks of obsolescence.
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data
  • Collecting, analysing, and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reduction
  • Ensure MI is consistent, honest, open, routinely reviewed.
  • The application of financial rigor to all activity to ensure value for money for the cluster.
  • Assist in the trending of reports and material variances communicating reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist with development, and implementation of policies and programs that guide the organisation in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate.

Experience required:

  • Experience in manufacturing / operational accounting. (Desirable)
  • Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups.
  • Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
  • Track record of delivery
  • A personal commitment to role model behaviours
  • A working understanding of Microsoft Office
