This an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Shared Service Centre.

As Assistant Management Accountant you will assist the Management Accountant, the Finance Manager and the rest of the Finance Team to provide robust and continuously improving accounting and management information to the business.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Producing financial and business performance data for the business divisions, monthly and ad hoc. In particular, taking ownership for production of the month end reports for specific divisions.
• Being involved in other processes as required such as statutory consolidation packs, tax packs, utilisation reports etc.
• Taking ownership of key accounting processes, such as VAT and GST returns, prepayment and accrual postings and other processes as required.
• Ensuring continuous improvement in key accounting processes, with the aim of increasing time available for adding value.
• Working as part of the Finance Team, ensuring that members of the team are supported and encouraging a strong team dynamic.
• Liaising with other parts of the business (such as divisional finance teams), ensuring that strong relationships are built across the group and good customer service is provided.

Person Specification:

• You will be Park Qualified in a qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. You may already be AAT qualified or similar.
• You will have at least one year's experience of management accounts production.
• You will have a good degree of competence in Microsoft Excel and be willing to learn how to use other IT systems.
• You will have good attention to detail and take pride in producing good quality work.
• You will have a positive attitude and wish to take responsibility for quality of customer service provided.
• You will be a good communicator at all levels within the business.
• You will have the ability to work to deadlines.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
