Delighted to be recruiting for this growing accountancy practice who are seeking a new Senior Accountant due to expansion.

This is a hands-on, hybrid/office-based role, delivering accounts/tax and all-round services to a varied portfolio of clients. You will act as key support to the firm's director and help oversee a small team. Your main duties will include:

• Managing a portfolio of limited company clients with turnover up to £1m.
• Monthly management accounts up to year end accounts production.
• Overseeing the small bookkeeping team.
• Review of quarterly VAT Returns and submissions.
• Completion of more complex self-assessment tax returns for clients.
• Advising clients on ad-hoc tax planning matters.
• Liaising with clients on a regular basis to provide insights into their business and how to better improve profitability.
• Manage production and workflow for your team to ensure deliverables are met
• Reviews on any prepared accounts and tax returns

This is a great opportunity offering real prospects for career development as this role will prepare you for the role of Practice Manager which would be the natural next step. Furthermore, if you have a keen eye on business development you can choose to be incentivised for new business wins. You will ideally have 3- 5 years in a practice environment, be comfortable mentoring and coaching junior staff along with strong working knowledge of cloud based accounting systems.
