Start your job searchAn International Wholesale Bank in the City recruiting an Accountant with relevant Banking experience to be a part of the Bank's next phase of change and growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will have overall responsibility with the management of the firms' financial resources and the production of the firm's financial information and its regulatory reporting. Your role will support the delivery of the Business Plan and strategic objectives from a finance perspective.
Your responsibilities will include:
- provision of accurate and timely MI (management information), regular reporting and data analysis to enable effective monitoring / control of the business and for informed decision making by senior management
- preparation of financial commentary based on financial data, trend and variance analysis for relevant business areas
- monitoring and maintenance of the General Ledger, Financial Accounts and Management accounts
- recommend and implement financial processes and procedures to ensure effective internal controls
- collation of data for annual tax and quarterly VAT submissions
- production, preparation and review of Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts (IFRS) and other financial reports
- assist with Regulatory reporting
Your Requirements
- at least 2 to 3 years experience within a finance function within a Bank or Financial Services institution
- Degree educated
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant
