Start your job searchMarks Sattin is currently working with a financial services business in Leeds who are recruiting for a Senior Manager to support their Operational Risk function.
Responsible for the delivery of risk advisory, risk assurance and control assurance activities. Assist in the delivery of a robust enterprise-wide operational risk management framework. Provide a partnering function to members of the first line of defence. Lead on risk oversight management.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the business approach to risk management oversight providing guidance, support and challenge to risk and control owners in order to drive best practice.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, testing and monitoring of the business' operational risk framework and profile, including external factors, limits and early warning indicators, to ensure the business remains within Board-approved risk appetite.
- Make contributions to the business' risk management reporting, including the drafting of papers, for Risk Committee and Audit and Risk Committee
- Responsible for the design and delivery of risk management training across the business
- Responsible for the implementation and management of the business' incident management process including reporting.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of stress testing and scenario analysis and understand ICAAP/ILAAP processes from an operational risk perspective to ensure effective capital adequacy plans are in place
We're looking to speak with individuals who have:
- Extensive experience of managing operational risk in a financial services environment
- Experience leading a high performing team
- Significant Exposure to working with senior management
- Deep knowledge and expertise of operational risk in financial services
- Knowledge of risk registers; assurance maps; controls testing; building operational risk frameworks, incident management and execution with first line.
- Knowledge of impact/ESRG frameworks would be an advantage.
