Senior Purchase Ledger and Stock Adinistrator

A reputable & well known high street name that are currently experiencing record periods of growth are currently looking to expand their finance team. The business are recruiting a driven and ambitious purchase ledger/stock admin to join their faced paced accounts payables function.

As an important member of the AP team that reports into the financial controller, you will be expected to deal with the full end to end process dealing with high volume/low value invoicing; from receipt of invoice all the way through to processing BACS payments. You'll also be counted on to deal with reconciliation, queries and other ad hoc clerical duties on a daily basis.

You will be required to have good attention to detail making sure that invoices are dealt with accurately and in a timely manor. Furthermore, you will also be counted on as a point of contact to deal with finance queries and external credit controllers, thus good communication and telephone manor is a must.

Stock/ Freight experience is also a must. You will be expected to:

 Manage complex stock supplier payment terms and ensure all stock payments are processed on time & accurately
 Post stock deliveries to ledger on a monthly basis and file invoices
 Process weekly stock payments through the bank and the in house system (deducting approved debit notes)
 Respond to all stock suppliers on a daily basis
 Close liaison with the Buying and Merchandising teams
 Posting freight invoices and arranging payments when required
 Responding to and answering queries received via e-mail regarding shipping payments on a daily basis.

Ideally you will have at least 1-2 years end to end purchase ledger experience working in a retail environment within a medium/large sized business. Experience in dealing with stock is a must and multi-currency experience is also desirable.
