Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a pioneering bio-tech business based in Oxford to recruit a Senior Technical Accounting Manager on a permanent basis. A newly created role that will drive controls and processes within the business related to areas of statutory accounting, consolidations, tax compliance and adherence to standards.

A critical role in the business with great exposure to senior leadership you will be responsible for the group financials and consolidations reporting under US GAAP alongside adherence to SOX.

The Senior Technical Accounting Manager position will be paying between £70,000 and £85,000 per annum plus bonus and excellent benefits with hybrid working (3 days in the office)

The Senior Technical Accounting Manager Role

This is a great opportunity to utilise an existing skillset in technical accounting, group and audit functions to support senior finance leaders within the business and drive compliance and adherence to standards. Having worked within a biotech/life sciences/pharma business OR at Manager level within an audit function working with the aforementioned sectors. Key responsibilities will include:

• Own the technical handbook and responsible for assessing technical accounting matters
• Prepare the group consolidation and cash flow under US GAAP
• Active involvement with quarter, half year and year end close
• Preparation of quarterly and annual filings with SEC
• Ownership of group tax compliance
• Lead the group audit process

Key Skills and Experience

• Qualified Accountant, ideally top 10 trained (ACCA/ACA/CPA)
• Exposure to biotech, life sciences or pharma industries
• Either first move from practice at Manager level or worked in a group/listed environment
