Supply Chain Manager - Leatherhead, Surrey

I am extremely happy to be working with an excellent local organisation that have seen 50% growth year on year, and have a vision and strategy to become a market leader within their field. They have a newly created Supply Chain Manager role which would suit a real "go getter" with strong supply chain experience within an operational sense, as well as the ability to devise a strategy to support the continued growth of the business. This role reports directly to the COO.

The Duties:

  • Plan, implement and deliver the overall supply chain strategy that supports multiple levels of decision making and gives a clear view of the flow of relevant and focussed products, services, and information.
  • Segment customers based on the service needs of distinct groups and adapt the supply chain to serve these segments profitably.
  • Determine key supply chain KPI's. Adopt channel-spanning performance measures to gauge collective success in reaching the internal and external end-user effectively and efficiently.
  • Customise our fleet network to the service requirements and profitability of our customer segments.
  • Suggest solutions for supply chain process improvements, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Review relevant market signals and align demand planning accordingly across our supply chain, ensuring consistent forecasts and optimal resource allocation.
  • Educate, train and develop wider supply chain understanding across the business.
  • Provide innovative ideas, entrepreneurial approaches and constructive feedback to the senior leadership team and the wider business.
  • Manage sources of supply strategically to reduce the total cost of owning materials and services.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, IT and Customer Service teams where relevant in order to deliver supply chain success.
  • Work with our supply chain network and finance to determine our best vendors.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with all vendors and build partnerships with critical service providers.

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager, or similar role within a smaller business
  • Experience of software implementation for supply chain management software
  • Self-motivated and outside of the box thinker with a can do attitude
  • Excellent time management, and communication skills
  • The passion and ability to impact the company's success and growth through your work
  • Educated with a relevant degree - Desirable

The Package:

  • Great salary - Up to £38,000
  • Benefits package
  • Great opportunity within a growing business with plans of 5x growth in 3 years
  • Excellent culture within a collaborative forward thinking team
  • 37.5 hours per week - vary between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday
  • On-site parking
