We have an excellent opportunity for a Tax Manager (direct & indirect tax) to join a leading UK Bank to manage UK corporate tax compliance deadlines and obligations of the bank as well as take ownership for the various tax projects.
Salary up to £75,000 + bonus + pension etc. This role also offers hybrid working conditions and it's genuinely a nice place to work with good work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Review workings included in the compilation and ultimate completion of the Corporation Tax returns within the Bank, including analysing data on Tax sensitive areas.
- Oversee compilation of our PSA Returns (Income Tax), understanding and utilising all available exemptions to ensure a very high level of accuracy of output.
- Advise on the accounting side of all taxation including VAT and Bad Debt Relief calculations where requested.
- Ensure tax computations and returns are filed with the relevant Tax authorities, in the correct format and on a timely basis (Corporation tax, VAT and PSA returns).
- Conduct research in order to respond to Tax related queries from internal or external stakeholders on a timely basis and in a practical and commercial way e.g. Tax advisory to business on a new product or queries from HMRC.
- They should also take responsibility for advising the finance teams and overall business around associated Tax matters.
Experience required
- Experience in Direct & Indirect Taxes
- Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) and preferably CTA, ATT qualifications
