A leading FMCG company based in Berkshire is looking for an Accountant to join their busy Global Finance Team. Role responsibilities:

• Preparation of Statutory Accounts (UKGAAP).
• Support Tax Accountant and Finance Manager as required.
• Liaise with both Internal and External Auditors.
• Support preparation of legal forecast.
• Balance sheet review on a monthly basis.
• Sarbanes Oxley compliance monitoring and testing.
• Government statistics returns.
• Tax kit preparation and posting of adjustments on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate must be of graduate calibre and a qualified accountant, preferably with a tax qualification and a minimum of 3 years finance experience within tax or statutory reporting. The ability to think critically and solve problems quickly is essential for success in this role. Strong business acumen and excellent communication and English language skills are also of significant importance. On a personal level the candidate should enjoy working collaboratively and be willing to work as part of a team. They must also proactively motivate team members and encourage personal development. Experience with JDE and Hyperion would be advantageous. Knowledge of USGAAP accounting would be key as well as understanding the differences to UKGAAP. Knowledge of the healthcare or pharmaceuticals industry would also be advantageous.
