Accounts Payable Clerk - 4 month contract

Position: Accounts Payable Clerk

The Company:

This leading North West employer based in Manchester is looking for a tried and tested Accounts Payable Assistant to join on a temporary basis and assist with an exceptionally high volume of work due to continued business growth.

Working as part of a really friendly, down to earth and close-knit Accounts Payable team, you'll be doing a varied and all 'all round' role and will be involved in the following on a day to day basis:

• Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager
• Working alongside a team ensuring SLAs are met and work is completed to deadlines
• Processing volume invoices and ensuring all is recorded correctly on the internal finance system
• Working to ensure that all AP processes and procedures are adhered to and working with a 'continuous improvement' mindset
• Handling queries and investigating any missing information which may delay payments
• Matching, batching and processing all invoices accurately
• Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and with payment runs when needed
• Working on ad hoc work and projects when required
• Assisting with the preparation of weekly payments runs, posting and allocation to the supplier accounts
