A top 20 firm have created a new position within their Corporate Services team, where you will be specifically servicing Financial Services (FCA regulated) clients. You will manage your own portfolio (5-10 clients to start), providing the highest quality of service to their clients whilst supervising and developing junior members of the team. The ability to complete a set of statutory accounts and knowledge of UK GAAP are vital for this role.

Some key responsibilities will include:

* To carry out all accounting work for a wide range of profit making organisations, to include planning, execution and completion and to produce a client-ready product.
* To prepare/review VAT Returns, including an understanding of partial exemption rules.
* To brief, supervise and review the work of junior members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary, including being involved in development of junior staff.
* To recommend improvements to the clients' accounting systems and controls and assisting clients whenever needed.

This position would ideally suit a newly qualified or 6-12 months post qualified accountant ready to take the next step in their career, ideally within Professional Services. The salary on offer is £40k - £48k and are based in the City of London.
