A leading private equity company based in the west end is looking for a German speaking assistant accountant to join initially on a 9 month contract with the potential to go permanent, due an increase in workload.

You will be reporting into the financial controller assisting in the preparation of management accounts, dealing with the German entity and assist in the implementation of a new system.

Main responsibilities will include

• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Reconciling the purchase and sales ledger
• End of month analysis of expenses
• VAT returns
• Ad hoc tasks
• Requirements:

• You will be part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent or finalist
• Fluent in German
• Previous knowledge of Excel is essential
• Working in financial services is preferable
